September 10 America Is Back

President Obama has withdrawn charges without prejudice against Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri. Without prejudice means that the charges can be reinstated later. Al-Nashiri has been identified as the former Persian Gulf Oberations Chief for al qaeda and the mastermind of the attack on the U.S.S. Cole. Obama is planning on meeting with the families of the victims of the U.S.S. Cole and 9/11 attacks tomorrow. There would be no reason to invite the families of the victims of the 9/11 attacks to meet with the president along with the victims of the U.S.S. Cole attack as well. It is likely that he will have the charges withdrawn from Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and the other 9/11 plotters as well. The reason that this is scary is that there is a possibility that Obama is considering the alternative of trying these terrorists in civilian courts. Courts which would undoubtedly not approve of the way the prisoners were treated at Guantanamo Bay, courts which have a different standard of evidence. Courts that could possibly allow these murderers to escape justice. As Andy McCarthy from the National Review writes:

"If we go back to a September 10 way of doing things, under which only those who can be convicted under daunting civilian court standards may be detained, we will get September 11 results."

President Obama is dangerously inept. I fear for this country.

Matt, anyone can make a mistake. What ever happened to forgive and forget? These guys probably didn't even mean to ram into a ship/buildings. In conclusion, I'm sure Obama can just talk them out of hating us.

Plus, have you ever thought that Obama is duing us a favor by completely destroying us before we have to endure communism?
