Free Speech Dying in England

England joins the Netherlands and Austria in banning free speech. This story came from Jihad Watch. Geert Wilders, who has been charged by the Dutch government with inciting religious hatred in speeches and in his film Fitna. The British government has now prohibited Wilders from entering the country. This is the first time that the British government has banned a European Union politician from entering the country. The purpose for barring Wilders from entering the U.K. is to stop "extremism, hatred, and violent messages" from coming to the country. Wilders' true crime has been to exercise his freedom of speech in warning about the threat coming from radical Islam. Europe is on the path of destruction. The culture of the Middle East overtaking Europe will not be a positive thing for the world.

The picture above is an example of speech that is tolerated in Europe. The picture below shows the result that will come to Europe if they continue to stick their heads in the sand.

Plus, in India two journalists are being held for "hurting the religious feelings" of Muslims. Apparently, in India it is illegal to hurt Muslims religious feelings but it is not illegal for Muslims to hurt Jews religious feelings.

Matt, free speech is alive and well, all you have to do is say the same things the liberals say, and you're alright.

I see, so freedom of speech means you are free to say things that are approved by the government.Freedom of religion would be that you are free to practice what religion the government tells you to practice. Makes sense to me.

Not only in England free speech is dying. You can see it all over Europe. And if you dont tell what the mainstream is going to tell youre going to be punished. I have 8 years of expierience hear in a small nothern german town.

Windhauch, it's sad but not surprising that freedom of speech is dying in Germany as well. I am afraid that the U.S. might follow Europe's example in this. Very scary when Islamists can threaten people with death, that's okay, but if somebody points it out, it's prohibited hate speech.

Wow, I liked the head in the sand picture. Very accurate.

On second thought, the head in sand comment may not be appropriate. If Britain had its head in the sand then they wouldn't realize the rioting and murdering that allowing Geert into their country would cause. So they must be aware of the problem, but just don't have the guts to face it before its too late.

Also, I think it is very ironic how insanely violent Islamist become when it is suggested they are not peaceful.

That's a good point Brett. But I do still think that the head in the sand picture is somewhat appropriate in that Britain seems to have their heads in the sand about what the objectives of the Islamists are and the negative consequences of sacrificing freedom. The picture can symbolize the Islamists cutting off the head of British society by changing it to one in which the Islamists approve of. They don't even necessarily need violence to do this. If England is willing to surrender their freedom without violence then they will be happy to allow them to do so. Perhaps a more accurate picture would be for the ostrich to grab the sword from the Islamist and cut off his own head.

Plus Brett, yes it is ironic. It seems that the fact that England is scared to allow Wilders into their country because of threats of violence from Muslims shows that Wilders film is accurate.

The message from the Islamists is, "Islam is a religion of peace, and if you disagree we will burn down buildings, kill you and your family."
